It is true, through the insistence of Michael I have joined the Bloggerverse. My intention is to use it as a way to share my stories abroad in Florence, post pictures, and whatever else is interesting. Then again, who am I kidding? Of course I will use it for more, it is addicting and when I first opened it I wasted several hours just reminding myself of HTML syntax. Now, I spend time adding links and configuring the layout. I see it as the beginning of a cycle that may keep me at my computer on a Friday night...and Saturday... Sunday... Well, hopefully not. I'd like to keep it as my break in between lab reports and use it as an excuse to turn up Yahoo's "Big Hits of the 90's" while typing away.

In any case, about Florence--I'm elated. I have been saving any article that I have found about the city, or Italy in general, and have come up with a few goals to accomplish when I am there:

1) The obvious, visit the Uffizi, Duomo, San Lorenzo, Santa Croce...

2) Eat in Lucca, the finest cuisine in Tuscany

3) Find inappropriate memorabilia at the San Lorenzo Market (National Geographic offered this tip).

That is it for now! I am still working out the kinks...
